inch iPad really on the way
We now just a couple of days away from Apple unveil of the new iPad Air 2 and probably the Retina iPad Mini 2, too and so it time to pore through all of the rumors and leaks to work out what Apple has in store. So far, it looks like we see an updated version of the iPad Air 2 with Touch ID and Apple Pay, andperhaps a vepatagonia better sweater in womensrsion of the iPad Mini with Touch ID as well. The latest rumors point towards an A8X SoC in the new iPad Air 2, and an A8 in the smaller iPad Mini.
With the large screen iPhone 6 Plus doing so well, will we also see a larger iPad Air Pro with 12.9 inch display at Apple October 16 event? And if not, will Appatagonia better sweater in womens3ple innovate with the iPad Air 2, orpatagonia fuego 32l backpack review will it just be a rather dull, incremental update? Let chepatagonia wetsuits newck out all the rumored and leaked hardware specs for this year updated iPads.

The video below shows a dummy (design prototype) of what purports to be a 9.7 inch iPad Air 2.

In the recent beta build of iOS 8.1, there are references in the source code that indicate thenew iPad Air (both normal and plus sized) will also get the Touch ID fingerprint scanner and NFC/Apple Pay. Yes, not only will you soon see people taking photos with their 12.9 inch iPad, but they also whip it out when paying for groceries. Fun times.
We have no information about either the rear or front camera for the iPad Air 2, but presumably it be a reasonable upgrade.
On the software front, the larger iPad Air may finally see patagonia lightweight guide pants reviewthe introduction of split screen mode. Early versions of this mode that have been discovered in iOS 8 (video below) seem to show functionpatagonia hooded guide jacketality that very similar to the Windows 8 Metro interface, where you can have two apps side by side, and move a divider in the middle to give each app more or less space. This would be a welcome change for the iPad that would increase productivity (and would give consumersone less reason to buy a Galaxy Note or Surface Pro). If split screen mode makes it into the new iPad Air, it might get 2GB of RAM instead to help with multitasking.
The new iPad Air will probably offer the same storage options as the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus (16GB, 64GB, and 128GB). Pricing will definitely depend on screen size: If Apple goes ahead with a 12.9 inch iPad Air, rest assured that it will be very expensive.
The new iPad MiniLast year, the Apple Mini got a Retina class 2048 display and that about it (it actually got thicker compared to the first gen iPad Mini, due to the high res screen needing a larger battery). This year, there surprisingly little info on what Apple plans to do with the third gen iPad Mini (or second gen iPad Mini with Retina display, depending on how you count it).
The same references in iOS 8.1 indicate that the iPad Mini 3 will have a Touch ID sensor. The chassis will presumably be thinned down slightly and receive the same recessed button treatment as the larger iPad Air. An upgrade to the A8 SoC seems like a shoo in, too.
Where do tablets end and phablets begin? One possibility for the lack of iPad Mini leaks is that there won be a new one unveiled on October 16. While all signs point to the iPad Mini being very successful (Apple has never released an official breakdown), Apple mipatagonia atom sling 4 for saleght be wondering if it wise to release a 7.9 inch device so soon after the 5.5 inch iPhone 6 Plus. Apple might view the iPhone 6 Plus as something of a risky experiment, and thus will wait a little while to see how consumers react.

Obviously, there much less concern at the high end Apple can release a 12.9 inch iPad Air without impacting its other products (with the possible exception of the MacBook Air, I guess). The thin bezels and 4:3 aspect ratio would make a 12.9 inch iPad Airseem relatively small patagonia better sweater in womens2and well balanced compared to 16patagonia employee benefits value:9 and 16:10 devices from the Android and Wipatagonia everlong review 360ndows camp especially if they can make the new iPad Air super thin like the new iPhone 6.

Fpatagonia everlong review journal sportsinally, just as this story was going to press, the Wall Street Journal which has a good track record with Apple leaks published a story about the larger iPad Air being delayed. Apple suppliers are so busy withthe new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus that they just don have time to mass produce a largeriPad Air. Presumably, what with October 16 just a few days away, this means we probably see a 9.7 inch iPad Air 2 at the event and then perhaps an iPad Air Plus/Maxi later in 2015.
Can these rumored changes revitalize the iPad and iPad Mini product lines? A 12.9 inch iPad Air would certainly be interesting though I not sure if it would be a commercial success. I still a firm believer that larger screen smartphones will beat out tablets in the long run.
